Addressing Hate and White Supremacy
Since 2000, the number of hate groups in the United States has been increasing, as has the number of hate crimes, with the government turning a blind eye toward white supremacy, especially since 2017. The August 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, was one of many incidents of hate speech and hate violence rooted in white supremacy.
